Hello Pinterest Friends,
We had a very, very rainy Fourth of July weekend which meant no pool, no playing in the yard, no fireworks, no kiddo entertainment! With my husband working and me alone with the kiddos- I needed help. Enter Pinterest crafts to the Fourth of July rescue! I wanted to try these paper plate crafts with the kids because it was easy to set up and used supplies that we already had at home. The first craft we made was the paper plate umbrellas since all we could think about was the rain!
Here are the supplies we used for both crafts:
We cut out the the umbrella shape from the paper plate and decorated them.
They look very serious decorating their umbrellas!
We used construction paper to make the umbrella hook and backed it on blue paper.
Easy, fun craft for a rainy day!
Our next paper plate craft was making a sun and rainbow- very cute and cheery for a rainy day. We started by cutting out the sun half and coloring it yellow.
Then we added yellow triangles to make the sun’s rays.
We cut out rainbow color strips to make the rainbow and taped those to the back of the sun.
Here is the finished sun and rainbow.
A fun, easy project that turns out really cute!
